Releases
Koru ships from three channels. Stable is the one to install if you want it to sit still; beta and nightly are where things land first.

A tidier Welcome page, with MCP and agents one click away
- Welcome shows the command that connects an MCP client to Koru, and copies it in one click.
- Run an agent in a terminal now opens the list of coding agents and starts the one you pick in a tab.
- Rows for things that are not ready yet are hidden from Welcome.
- Koru no longer asks about usage data on first start; it stays off unless you turn it on in Settings.

Coding agents as tabs, and Koru's first stable Mac release
- Coding agents are back: the + menu offers them beside shells, and each session opens as a tab.
- This is Koru's first stable release for the Mac.
- On macOS 26, Koru no longer quits abruptly at the end of first-run setup.
- The question about sharing anonymous usage data now says what is sent and why saying yes helps.

A focused Koru: documents, files and shell sessions
- Koru now shows documents, files and shell session tabs only. Cloud sign-in, agents, tasks, Koru AI and reminders are hidden for now, not removed.
- Narrow and Page widths now survive a restart instead of coming back Full.
- The Manage tab now uses the Settings layout, with titled pages and a ruled navigation list.

Koru AI shows its reasoning, and the Mac catches up two weeks
- Koru AI can show a model's reasoning as it thinks, in a drawer that folds away when the answer arrives. A lightbulb on the composer turns it on for the next message.
- AI setup offers a Koru AI card for a free hosted model. In this build the card is present but not connected to a service, so it cannot answer yet.
- A crash while connecting a Profile to an account no longer stops Koru from starting, the runs list no longer stalls behind another run's save, and a message sent in an AI tab with no document attached no longer sits unsent.
- On a Mac this is the first nightly since 1 September, and it carries everything the Windows nightlies gained in between: split views, the AI tab, sign-in and reminders, and delegated and scheduled agent work.

An update goes through when Koru is kept in the tray
- Installing an update now works when you have chosen to keep Koru running in the tray or menu bar — the last window quits for the update instead of hiding, and the update no longer fails with "a Koru window did not close in time".
